Abstract  Abstract

PURPOSE: A MAC(Medium Access Control) multiplexing and TFC(Transport Format Combination) selection procedure for enhanced uplink is provided to match a multiplexing data volume with a selected E-TFC transmission block size. CONSTITUTION: Bits from scheduling information and MAC-d flows are multiplexed into a MAC-E PDU which is smaller than the maximum size of the E-TFC(Enhanced dedicated channel Transport Format Combination). The E-TFC for transmitting the MAC-e PDU is selected(410). E-TFC does not exceed the first total. The MAC-e PDU is transmitted(415).
