Abstract  Abstract

PURPOSE: A method for selecting a MAC(Medium Access Control) multiplexing procedure and a TFC(Transport Format Combination) procedure, and a device thereof are provided to offer the MAC multiplexing procedure and the TFC procedure for a reinforced uplink. CONSTITUTION: An MAC-e(enhanced uplink MAC) PDU(Protocol Data Unit) payload quantity is determined. Data is multiplexed for a logic channel from a MAC-d(MAC for dedicated channel) flow based on a priority(604). An E-TFC(Enhanced dedicated channel TFC) is selected for transmitting the MAC-e PDU. The MAC-e PDU which is processed by the selected E-TFC is transmitted(606). (Reference numerals) (602) Selecting the maximum E-TFC from a set of dedicated channel medium access control(MAC-d) flow data, allowed by a current grant, and supported E-TFC of which size is smaller than MAC-e control signaling; (604) Multiplexing the MAC-d flow data(scheduled and/or non-scheduled) into MAC-e PDU until there is no addition of MAC-d flow data blocks in the limit of selected E-TFC; (606) Padding the MAC-e PDU to be matched with the selected E-TFC size; (AA) Start; (BB) End
