Abstract
The technology is applied to a cellular radio network in which each cell area is associated with a radio base station in which the mobile terminals communicate with at least one of the base stations over a radio interface. The mobile terminals carry out mobility-related measurements on downlink signals received from a corresponding neighboring cell for time intervals configured for the measurement of the downlink transmission. A configuration node receives information entered, and based on that information entered, determines information about the time intervals for measurement. The node provides the information on the time intervals for measurement to the base stations such that the base stations can signal the information on the time intervals for the measurement to the mobile terminals.
