Abstract
This provides an audio encoder and method for encoding a non-vocal audio signal in order to produce a stream of bits therefrom, in which the audio encoder comprises: a combination (2, 3) of a linear prediction coding filter (2) having a plurality of linear prediction coding coefficients (LC) and a time-frequency converter (3), in which the combination (2, 3) is configured to filter and convert a frame (FI) of the audio signal (AS) in a frequency domain in order to emit a spectrum (SP) based on the frame (FI) and the linear prediction coding coefficients (LC); a low frequency emphasizer (4) configured to calculate a processed spectrum (PS) based on the spectrum (SP), which emphasizes the spectral lines (SL) of the processed spectrum (PS) that represent a lower frequency than a reference spectral line (RSL); and a control device (5) configured to control the calculation of the processed spectrum (PS) by the low frequency emphasizer (4) based on the linear prediction coding coefficients (LC) of the linear prediction coding filter (2) ). Likewise, the present provides a corresponding audio decoder, a system, a method for decoding a bit stream containing quantified spectra and a plurality of linear prediction coding coefficients and a corresponding computer program.
