Abstract  Abstract

PROCESS OF TRANSMITTING TERMINAL INTERFACE USER DATA AND STATUS INFORMATION AND ANY OTHER CONTROL OR SYNCHRONIZATION INFORMATION IN PROTOCOL DATA UNITS, TRANSMISSION AND RECEPTION EQUIPMENT, AND, MOBILE SYSTEM. The invention relates to a mobile system in which the radio interface rate and the intermediate rate of a transmission channel restricts the number of bits available for the transmission of terminal interface (S) states, synchronization (N) independent of network and subchannel numbering (#) of a multichannel data link. In the invention the bits form a subframe (n, ..., n + 10), and the status and control information are multiplexed within successive subframes in a superframe structure (SUPERFRAME). In other words, the capacity of the bits available for the control information is shared by various types of control information through the superframe structure.
