DETECTION AND SELECTION OF WIRELESS ACCESS NETWORK SYSTEM. It is a method and equipment for detecting and selecting Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) service. A cellular network may provide announcement of a WLAN, as in an overhead signaling message. The advertisement may identify the Access Point (s) through an Extended Service Set Identifier (ESSID).
