TRANSFER SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MINIMIZING RETURN ON SERVICE DUE TO PING PONGUE EFFECT IN WIDE BAND ACCESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM A method for recognizing by a Mobile Subscriber Station (BSS) whether a Base Station (BS) is recognized holds connection information in a mobile communication system that includes the serving BS to provide a service to MSS and an adjacent target BS to the serving BS. The method includes the steps of receiving a transfer request message from the server BS, the transfer request message including a resource permanence type field representing whether the connection information that has been established with the server BS is retained, and a resource retention time field by the server BS, and recognizing that the server BS retains the connection information for a time determined by a value of the resource retention time field.
