Abstract  Abstract

The invention claims a multimedia broadcast/multicast service (MBMS) service the method comprises the following steps: a. after the UE of needing receive multicast service through the authorization creating and activating MBMS context and request the service general packet radio service (SGSN) creates the MBMS UE context b. supporting node SGSN gateway universal packet radio service support node (GGSN) and the broadcast/multicast service server (BM-SC) creates the MBMS UE context through signalling interaction respectively then continue the MBMS service activation process of subsequent processing. Adopting the method can the BM-SC creates the MBMS UE context is created so as to improve MBMS multicast service activation process can further simplify operation reduce redundancy of signaling optimizing signalling flow avoiding repetition of the process and improve the processing efficiency.
