Abstract
The invention claims a method for triggering radio link control (RLC) re-establishment and/or protocol data unit (PDU) discard method and device. RLC entity for calculating RLC state variable of the transmission and/or retransmission of the PDU and a PDU segment and the total times. If the state variable reaches a certain threshold the RLC entity initiates RLC re-establishment and/or discards RLC PDU and PDU segments. at each received for RLC at least a portion of the negative acknowledgement PDU or considering the retransmission RLC PDU or RLC When a portion of a PDU the state variable can be incremented. RLC entity may increase with the retransmitted data proportional to the size of the state variable. RLC entity can be RLC maintaining a separate state variable and for the RLC PDU and PDU segments? calculates the number of transmission and/or retransmission PDU and PDU segments.
