Abstract  Abstract

A transmission mode switching method and device. The transmission mode switching method comprises: detecting, by a terminal, whether a first transmission mode used for sending data is available; when detecting that the first transmission mode is not available, sending, by the terminal, data using a second transmission mode; and when detecting that the first transmission mode is available in the process of sending the data using the second transmission mode, stopping, by the terminal, the sending of the data using the second transmission mode, and sending data using the first transmission mode. By means of the present invention, switching among different transmission modes can be realized, so that the situation of communication interruption when the current transmission mode is not available can be avoided, and the method is practical.
