Abstract  Abstract

The invention claims various methods for triggering a power headroom report. An example method may include storing a first entity for a first path loss value and the second path value and a second entity of a first path loss value and the second path loss value for the first entity and the second entity each of determining a first path loss value or the second path loss value has been changed amount greater than the corresponding threshold value determining whether the UE has an UL resource for new transmission and the change to the first entity or the second entity is at least one of a first path loss value or a second path loss value (e.g. increasing or decreasing amount) is greater than the corresponding threshold value of the condition that triggers the PHR. It further provides a corresponding device and computer program product.

Various methods are provided fortriggering a power headroom report. One example method may include storing a first pathloss value and a second pathlossvalue for a first entity and a first pathloss value and a second pathloss value for a second entity for each of the first entity and second entity determining whether first pathloss value or second pathloss value has changed more than a corresponding threshold value determining whether the UE has UL resources for a new transmission and in an instance where for at least one of the first entity or second entity the first pathloss value or second pathloss value has changed (e.g. increased or decreased) more than the corresponding threshold value triggering a PHR.A corresponding apparatus and computer program product are also provided.
