Abstract  Abstract

Methods and apparatus are provided for method and apparatus of enhanced paging. In one novel aspect the paging narrow-band is introduced for paging message monitoring /transmission. Several paging narrow-bands within one PO are used for different UEs. UEs with similar CE levels or one CE level are multiplexed within one common paging narrow-band. The paging narrow-band is determined based on UE ID CE level and PO index in time domain. In another novel aspect the paging narrow-bands are allocated according to a predefined rule/or fixed and UE-specific paging narrow-band are (re) configureddynamically e.g. signaled by a higher layer message or semi-static. In another example multiple specific narrow-bands are fixed for paging message transmission. The frequency hopping is. Additionalresources in time domain is introduced to further reduce the blocking rate indicated by DCI or by paging message or predefined.
