Abstract  Abstract

The present invention relates to a method of identifying a mobile station in a cellular wireless communication system. The cellular wireless communication system comprises one or more mobile stationsand at least one first network control node serving at least one associated first cell and at least one second network control node serving at least one associated second cell; when the mobile station switches from one cell to another cell the cellular wireless communication system executes a switching procedure; the method comprises the following steps: the mobile station switches from the first cell to the second cell; at least one mobile station identifier is sent to the first network control node by the second network control node and the sending step is triggered by at least one switching fault or at least one wireless link fault of the mobile station; the first network control node receives at least one mobile station identifier; the mobile station is identified by the first network control node by using at least one mobile station identifier. In addition the invention also relates to a device of the first network control node a device of the second network control node amethod in the first network control node a method in the second network control node a computer program and a computer program product thereof.
