A method and apparatus for configuring a set of control resources and a search space corresponding thereto in a wireless communication system, the method comprising: configuration of a set of transmission control resources; transmitting a control channel located on the control resource set according to the configuration of the control resource set. The set of control resources is located in a control region comprising time and frequency resources. Controlling the configuration of resource sets includes: an indication of a starting symbol of a search space in a control resource set; an indication of a number of symbols controlling the resource set; an indication of a Physical Resource Block (PRB) in a control resource set; indication of CCE to Resource Element Group (REG) mapping.
