Abstract  Abstract

A the antenna with space-time transmit diversity (STTD) orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) communication system in the transmitting and receiving device and a method for performing channel estimation in the wireless communication system. wherein the transmission device comprises first and second antennas STTD transmission signal. they are independent in a space diversity arrangement respectively transmitting the first and the second pilot symbols via the first and second antennas. the second pilot frequency code-element of some corresponding to the first pilot symbols are orthogonal so using a single antenna receiving signal of the receiving device may perform respectively determining transmission quality of signals transmitted from each antenna of the first and second channel estimation.
