Abstract
Narrowband far end unit (101-103)scans on the frequency in the wideband channel frequency spectrum and evaluates frequency to choose channel characteristics; one or more best inferior channel used for communication is ensured and returns back to the station(104) by the channel quality report information report; subsequently the station only uses the narrowband part in the wideband channel such as the inferior channel comprised of several OFDM inferior carriers is used to emit the data to the narrowband unit.

The best sub-channel(s) for communication is determined and reported back to a base station (104) via a channel-quality report message.
