Abstract
The wireless network may provide system information either through a fixed periodic broadcast or a wider transmission, or in response to a request via a subscriber unit (UE). A wireless network can broadcast (or broadcast in broadband) a signal that indicates to a UE within a cell or area coverage area that the system information should be transmitted with a fixed periodic schedule or in response to a request sent by one or more UEs .
