Abstract
A method implemented by a base station, the method comprising: spreading first data for a plurality of terminals using multiple code division multiple access (CDMA) codes to produce first multi-code multiplexed data; generating a first orthogonal frequency division multiplex (OFDM) symbol associated with a plurality of subcarriers, wherein a first group of subcarriers of the plurality of subcarriers includes the first multi-code multiplexed data, and a second group of subcarriers includes second data that is not spread with a CDMA code; and transmitting the OFDM symbol via a wireless signal.
