Method for a radio communication network for obtaining data messages from a mobile station operating therein during the unidirectional downlink transfer, a first message of acknowledgment of receipt / non-acknowledgment of receipt of downlink data being indicative, and a second data message of one or more other conditions of the mobile station being indicative, the method comprising the network providing in a header portion of the downlink transfer a first interrogation code representative of a first interrogation state intended for requesting from the mobile station the transmission of said first data message, and the method being characterized in that the network provides in a header portion of the downlink transfer a second interrogation code representative of a second interrogation state to demand the mobile station transmitting said second data message, said second interrogation code being different from the first interrogation code, so that the second interrogation state is different from the first interrogation state.
