Abstract
A server to manage the authentication of clients that are subscribers of a home domain within which the server is located, characterized in that the server comprises means (6, 7) to determine if a client that is joined to a visited domain is going to be authenticated by the home domain or by said visited domain, using for this decision a knowledge of the type of network security that is being used in an access network of the visited domain, and to indicate the result to said visited domain, in which, in the event that the client is going to be authenticated by the home domain, said result is a result of authentication of the home network and, in the case that the customer is going to be authenticated by the visited domain, that result includes data of Home domain authentication for use by the visited domain to authenticate the client.
