Abstract
A transmission stage adapted to transmit modulation symbols in multi-component carriers, comprising: a first encoder via Discrete Fourier Transform, DFT (Discrete Fourier Transform, in English) (605a) operable to receive said modulation symbols to be transmitted ; a first Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing modulator, OFDM (Orthogonal FrequencyDivision Multiplexing, in English) (610a) associated with said first DFT encoder (605a), said first OFDM modulator coupled to said first DFT encoder for receiving the output of said first DFT encoder; and characterized by a first power amplifier (620a) coupled to receive the output of said first OFDM modulator and operable to amplify said output of said first OFDM modulator for transmission in at least one carrier of components (650a); a second DFT encoder (605b) operable for ra receive modulation symbols to be transmitted in a set of component carriers (650b, 650c), where the component carriers of said set of component carriers (650b, 650c) used by said second DFT encoder are noncontiguous with respect to each other and are different from the at least one component carrier (650a) in which said output of said first OFDM modulator is transmitted; a second OFDM modulator (610b) associated with said second DFT encoder (605b), being cited second OFDM modulator coupled to said second DFT encoder to receive the output of said second DFT encoder; and a second power amplifier (620b) coupled to receive the output of said second ODF modulator (610b) and operable to amplify said output of said second OFDM modulator for sub-transmission in said set of component carriers (650b, 650c).
