Abstract
An apparatus for transmitting protocol data units, PDUs, the apparatus being suitable for a mobile telecommunications system, the apparatus comprising: a first protocol entity in a mode with recognition, in which the first protocol entity receives data from a higher layer and generates a data PDU and one or more control PDUs, and a second protocol entity connected to the first protocol entity through a first channel and a second channel, in which the data PDU and a first control PDU are transmitted through the first channel and a second control PDU is transmitted through the second channel, in which the first control PDU includes a recognition PDU, a recognition ACK PDU and a piggybacked status PDU, in which The second control PDU includes a status PDU that contains recognition information.
