Abstract  Abstract

Method for adding and / or removing an operating cell in a heterogeneous radio network that has at least two different types of cells, which include a first type of basic cell for providing basic radio coverage and a second type of cell associated with a basic cell , as a capacity enhancing cell, said method comprising the steps of: - selectively activating and deactivating (S1) the capacity enhancing cell; when the function of the capacity enhancer cell is interrupted, the cell does not exist by air although cell configuration information is maintained, and when the capacity enhancer cell is activated, cell definition information is retransmitted and the cell is again available through the interface; and - communicate (S2), about the RNL Radio Network Layer in the X2X2AP Application Protocol, an indication of interruption of operation and a reactivation call message for the activation of the capacity enhancing cell, between a base station (200 ; eNB) serving the capacity enhancing cell and a base station (100; eNB) serving the basic cell.
