Abstract
An association update procedure, characterized in that: when a terminal performs the update of the location area LAU (Location Area Update) of a mobile services communication center / visited position registry MSC / VLR (Mobile SwitchingCenter / Visitor Location Register) (106) through a global system for improved data rate of mobile communications for a radio access network for the evolution of GSM / land radio access network of universal mobile telecommunications systems GERAN / UTRAN (GSMEvolution Radio Access Network / Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network) (105), if the terminal has performed a combined update or a switching connection of the CSFB (Circuit Switching Fallback) backup circuits in an evolved packet system network EPS (Evolved Packet System) through an evolved UTRAN E-UTRAN (Evolved UTRAN) (102), then setting the terminal one in combined update indication indicating that the EPS network requires a combined update when the terminal returns to the E-UTRAN (102) from the GERAN / UTRAN (105); and when the terminal moves to a registered tracking zone of the E-UTRAN (102) from the GERAN / UTRAN (105), determining the terminal if the combined update indication indicating that the EPS network requires a combined update has been established, if so, then starting the terminal the combined update of the TA (Tracking Area) / location zone LA (LocationArea) area of a MME (Mobility Management Entity) mobile management entity (104), after receiving an update request of location of the MME (104), updating the stored association information and the MSS / VLR (106) and re-establishing the association SGs with the MME (104).
