Abstract  Abstract

Method, in a wireless transceiver of a radio access terminal, to reduce interference in a wireless communication system that supports uplink carrier aggregation, the method comprising: transmitting (62) to a base station resonance reference signals , SRS, on an uplink primary component carrier, UL, and receiving (64) from the base station an activation command corresponding to a secondary component carrier of UL, SCC; characterized in that the method further comprises, in response to the receipt of the activation command: determining (65) if the wireless transceiver has valid temporary organization information for the UL SCC, in which a valid temporary organization information for the SCC of UL indicates that the UL SCC is synchronized in UL with the base station, and in response to said determination and when the wireless transceiver has been provided with configuration data by the base station indicating that SRS must be transmitted, enabling (66) the transmission of SRS over the UL SCC, if the UL SCC is synchronized, and prohibiting (68) if not the transmission of SRS over the UL SCC until the UL SCC is synchronized in UL.
