Abstract  Abstract

A method (700) for use in a cellular communication system (100), in which system traffic can be exchanged between a first (110, 120) and a second (110, 120) transceivers, said traffic being sent in units of data, each of whose data units is assigned an identifier, and whose data units can be divided into segments, in whose system (100) a receiving transceiver (110, 120) can send status information in data frames or data units (200, 300) about the properly received data units, partially received or not received, to a sending transceiver, that is, the transceiver from which the data was sent, where, in the case (705 ) of one unit or more units of data not received or partially received, the status information sent to the sending transceiver is sent in the form of a message (300), the message (300) comprising: data (ACK) that they recognize the units or plot s of appropriately received data, in the form of a certain sequence number; a first extension indicator bit (E); data (NACK) related to a unit or frame of data not received or partially received, in the form of a certain sequence number; a second extension indicator bit (F), which indicates whether the unit or units of data were not received or partially received, and in the case of one or more units of data partially received, which parts (715) of those units of data were not received, wherein said first extension indicator bit (E) indicates the absence or presence of another set comprising said first (E) and second (F) extension and data indicator bits (NACK) in relation to a unit or frame of data not received or partially received, in the form of the identifier (SN) of said unit or frame of data.
