Abstract  Abstract

A method in a user equipment (310) for the configuration of a cell change procedure to be used for handover in a wireless communication network (300), the user equipment (310) that is located in a cell of service (306), the user equipment (310) comprising a list of the active set of cells, whose list of the active set of cells comprises a list of cells to which the user equipment (310) can be moved from the cell of service (306), the method comprising: - sending (501) a measurement report to a network controller (315) comprised in the wireless communication network (300) informing the network controller (315) that it can add to the minus one additional cell to an active set; - receiving (502) an update of the active set from the network controller (315), the update of the active set comprising information on at least one additional cell to be added to the active set and further comprising updating the active set an information element which indicates whether the at least one additional cell is to be added to a list of cells for which a modified cell change procedure will be used for handover; - detecting (503) an adjoining cell (308) that is stronger than a current service cell (306); - matching (504) the strongest adjoining cell detected (308) with the list of cells received from the modified cell change procedure; and - apply (505) the modified cell change procedure for the transfer to the strongest adjoining cell (308) if the strongest adjoining cell (308) is found to match a cell in the list.
