A method of operating a user equipment, UE, comprising: determining the group identification information identifying a multimedia broadcasting and multicast service group, MBMS, given in which the UE is registered, the group of Given MBMS with an MBMS session that is maintained while the MBMS session is not used to support any group calls associated with the given MBMS group; receiving (2604) a group search for a given group call with the given MBMS group including the group identification information that identifies the given MBMS group; and configure the group call given in response to the group search through the MBMS session based on the group identification information, in which the resources supporting the MBMS session are allocated to the unicast traffic when the MBMS session is not used to support any group calls associated with the given MBMS group.
