A user equipment receives downlink allocation information via a number of control channel elements, CCEs, receives downlink data in accordance with the downlink allocation information, and transmits an Acknowledgement/Negative Acknowledgement, ACK/NACK, signal corresponding to the downlink data, by using a resource index for the ACK/NACK signal corresponding to the CCE index when the downlink allocation information is received via one CCE, and a resource index for the ACK/NACK signal corresponding to the lowest one of the CCE indexes of the plural CCEs when the downlink allocation information is received via plural CCEs.
