Abstract  Abstract

The present invention relates to a speech sensor for detecting the presence of speech in an input signal. The estimated shape of the noise component of the input signal is provided with a storage buffer (113), a multiplier / addter unit (114) recognizing the spectral similarity of the input signal and the data stored in the buffer (113), and a stored estimated format restoring component. This updates the refurbishment component when it detects speech that it finds to be away from the input signal. The point is that the input signal has a predictive gain parameter (Gp), a computational arithmetic unit (303) and, if the predictive gain parameter (Gp) exceeds a threshold, a modifier unit (304) and OR gate (206), which excludes renovation.
