Abstract
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a maximum data rate of a communication channel by enhancing flexibility of assignment of spread sequence much more in a code division multiple access CDMA system.
SOLUTION: A transmitter 10 of a base station 31 or a mobile station 32 is provided with a spreading unit 16 and the spreading unit 16 spreads each data symbol by spread codes orthogonal to each other a scrambler 17 scrambles each data symbol that is spread with a scramble code having the same length as that of the spread code and an amplifier 18 sends the scrambled and spread data symbol. In this case the scrambler 17 uses a plurality of different scramble codes that are used at the same time in a same link.
