Abstract  Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a transient peak value of a transmission signal in a code division multiple access (CDMA) communication system.

SOLUTION: The transient peak value of the transmission signal is reduced in the CDMA communication system. A plurality of data signals after spectrum diffusion are synthesized in the form of a synthesized signal having a power level varying corresponding to the combination of the data signals. The synthesized signal is modulated to the form of an RF signal for transmission. The average power of the synthesized signal is measured for a selected period. A signal power level synthesized value is restricted adaptively to a power level calculation value based on the measured power value at least partially.
