Abstract  Abstract

A method of managing user terminals accessing a network is provided. When applying a generic authentication architecture, a network entity that can provide information retrieval, after receiving a retrieval request from NAF, determines whether the user terminal requesting access has authority to use the service in the network, If so, return a successful search response message to the NAF, attach the required NAF information to the response message, and the NAF can communicate with the user terminal based on the received information. Then, a search failure response message is returned to the NAF, and the access of the user terminal is rejected by the NAF. ADVANTAGE OF THE INVENTION According to this invention, the user terminal which accesses a network can be managed by applying a generic authentication architecture, and it can avoid that an unauthorized user terminal uses a network service, especially a visit network service.
