Abstract
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately determine the opening of a clutch from a change of an engine speed while discriminating an rotation increase due to accelerator closing shock during fastening the clutch from a rotation increase due to the opening of the clutch.
SOLUTION: When an engine speed is increased and changed into a threshold value or higher after closing the accelerator the opening of the clutch is determined. Herein an rotation increase due to accelerator closing shock during fastening the clutch shows a tendency to be more as a vehicle speed is lower. So the threshold value is set to be greater as the vehicle speed is lower to prevent an error in determining the opening of the clutch with the rotation increase due the accelerator closing shock.
