Abstract  Abstract

In the present invention, traffic is transmitted in units of frames (200), each frame has a first number of subframes (201-210), and a second number of subframes among the subframes is at least uplink. Alternatively, a method (500) for a cellular communication system (100) that is available for downlink traffic is disclosed. At least one of the second number of subframes is configured to have at least three portions (515) as follows. A part used for uplink traffic (520), a part used for downlink traffic (525), and a part used as a guard period (530). Here, the guard period part (525) is scheduled between the uplink part and the downlink part. The duration of at least two of the three parts (520, 525, 530) can be varied to suit the needs of the current system.
