Abstract  Abstract

Provided is a power control method for reducing coexistence interference in an apparatus. A power control method is provided that reduces in-device coexistence (IDC) interference. The wireless communication device (UE) includes a first LTE wireless module and a second jointly installed WiFi / BT / GSNN wireless module. Upon detection of coexistence or IDC interference, the UE applies a power control method to reduce the interference. In the first embodiment, the LTE radio module locally adjusts its power parameter and does not notify the serving eNB. In the second embodiment, the LTE radio module adjusts its power parameters and informs the eNB implicitly through the existing PHR report. In the third embodiment, the LTE radio module changes its power or power class and explicitly notifies the eNB by UE capability or a new RRC message or MAC CE. Power control is used as a weight reduction measure before applying another heavyweight solution that requires more resources or control overhead or has a strong impact on throughput.
