Abstract
Methods, systems, and devices for intercepting requests from applications installed on mobile devices are described. The request is a system call that establishes a communication channel for the mobile device. The request is captured and deferred to arrive at the operating systems TCP / IP stack running on the mobile device. Intercepted requests are aggregated with other intercepted requests. Aggregated requests are bundled together and released to the operating system upon detection of a triggering event. Capture, hold, and aggregation of requests from applications are performed when the mobile device is in background mode.
