Abstract  Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the decision accuracy of TFCI(transport format combination indicator) and reduce processing volume and power consumption required for the TFCI decision.

SOLUTION: A candidate restriction unit 104 outputs only a TFCI encoded series corresponding to a TFCI number in actual use to a correlation value computation unit 105 according to each TFCI number included in a TFCI number group notified from a layer upper than physical layers. The correlation value computation unit 105 computes the correlation value between the TFCI encoded series outputted from the candidate restriction unit 104 and the received TFCI and stores the value in a correlation value memory 106. A maximum value detection unit 107 notifies the TFCI number corresponding to the correlation value which takes the maximum value out of correlation values stored in the correlation value memory 106 to an error correction decoding unit 108. The error correction decoding unit 108 conducts error correction decoding for data accumulated in a data memory 103 according to a specified transmission format based on the notified TFCI number.
