Abstract  Abstract

It is an object of the present invention to provide a system, apparatus, terminal and method for filtering electronic information to be transmitted to a terminal via a telecommunications connection. The present invention provides a method of attaching a specific filtering parameter (30-32) to the electronic information by the device for transmitting the electronic information for filtering before the electronic information is transmitted to the terminal via the telecommunication connection. Informing the terminal of the filtering parameters 30-32 before electronic information is transmitted to the terminal via the telecommunication connection. At the terminal, the steps include examining the notified filtering parameters 30-32 and allowing or obstructing reception of the electronic information based on the filtering parameters 30-32. In response to the acceptance of the reception, the electronic information is transmitted to the terminal via the telecommunication connection, and in response to the interruption of the reception, the electronic information is not transmitted to the terminal via the telecommunication connection.
