Abstract  Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for requesting and reporting channel quality information and a device thereof in a mobile communication system.

According to the present invention, an uplink radio resource is allocated to a subscriber station having data to transmit uplink data, and an indicator requesting report of channel quality information is added to the allocation information and transmitted to the terminal. The terminal receiving the uplink radio resource allocation information generates the channel quality information by measuring the radio channel state for communication with the base station according to whether the indicator is included, and uplink data to transmit the generated channel quality information. Included in the transmission to the base station.

According to the present invention, a reliable channel required for determining modulation and channel coding levels for use in data transmission by quickly responding to rapid channel environment changes without additional process such as separate bandwidth allocation for requesting and reporting channel quality information. Quality information can be provided quickly and efficiently.
