Abstract  Abstract

The present invention relates to an OFDM cellular system, comprising: generating a frame composed of a plurality of sync blocks and transmitting the frame through a forward link in a forward synchronization signal transmission method in a wireless communication system; The frame includes a first sync channel sequence providing sync block timing information and a plurality of second sync channel sequences providing frame timing (boundary) information, wherein the first sync channel sequence and the plurality of second sync channels are provided. The cell identifier is specified by a combination of the hop codewords specified by the channel sequence, and the cell search time can be efficiently reduced in the OFDM scheme.

OFDM, first sync channel sequence, second sync channel sequence, jump codeword, cell identifier
