Abstract  Abstract

The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving system information in a mobile communication system. According to the present invention, information having a different value for each transmission point of system information such as SFN (System Frame Number) included in system information is separately distinguished from other information having the same value for each transmission point of system information for a long time. Coding / repetitive transmission, the terminal receives the information such as the SFN through a predefined resource when decoding the system information to decode / interpret. In this way, more information bits can be transmitted using a predetermined bandwidth.

System Information, Primary-Broadcast Channel (P-BCH), Combining, System Frame Number (SFN)
