Abstract  Abstract

A method for channel signaling is described. The method includes determining (eg, by a UE) whether at least one DL subframe is a valid reference resource. If at least one DL subframe is not a valid reference resource, reporting of DL channel measurements measured during at least one DL subframe is prohibited. The method may include determining (eg, by an eNB) whether it is necessary to report at least one DL subframe of the DL channel. If no reporting is needed, a message is sent to the UE configured to cause the at least one UE to prohibit the measurement of the DL channel measurement (eg, CQI measurement) measured during the at least one DL subframe. Determining whether the at least one downlink subframe is a valid reference resource is based at least in part on the message. Apparatus and computer readable media are also described.
