Abstract  Abstract

The timing parameters and identification of a particular one of the plurality of cell groups are indicated in a signal transmitted in a cellular communication system having a radio frame at the physical layer, where the radio frame includes a plurality of time slots. In the recognized one of the time slots, a synchronization signal S 1 comprising a pair of sequences I arranged in the first order is transmitted. In another recognized slot of the time slots, a synchronization signal S 2 comprising a pair of sequences II arranged in the second order is transmitted. The selected pair of sequences are uniquely identified by a particular cell group, the first order of sequences being used only for transmission in the recognized slot of time slots, and the second order of sequences being transmitted in the other recognized slot of time slots. Only used for

OFDM, synchronization channel, inter-radio access technology, LTE.
