Abstract  Abstract

The user equipment implements a method of processing an instruction message, such as a SCRI (Signaling Decommission Instruction) message (e.g., to trigger a transition between states such as Cell-PCH, URA-PCH or Cell-Fach). The upper layer indicates that there is no packet switch data for a long period of time (e.g., a period during which data is not exchanged between the UE and the network in a predetermined period that is typically evaluated using a prohibit timer & If the count of how many indication messages (i.e., SCRI messages) are triggered (i.e., transmitted) in the state is less than the maximum number, the UE increments the count and if the cause is set in the indication message data session end ) indication message (i.e., SCRI) is transmitted.
