Abstract  Abstract

The present invention relates to a wireless communication system, and more particularly, to a method of configuring a preamble of a random access channel (RACH) according to a cell radius of a base station without considering the length of a guard interval. A method for configuring a preamble of the random access channel includes: acquiring predetermined cyclic transposition time length information according to a cell radius of a base station; acquiring sequence time length information for one sequence or repeated sequence; And configuring the preamble using the predetermined cyclic prefix length information and the sequence time length information without considering the time length of the preamble. By using the above method, the complexity of hardware design can be reduced by using a predetermined fixed number of CPs, and a small number of RACH preambles can be configured.
