A user equipment comprising a processor configured to receive a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) Notify message sent by a network component as a result of a registration event. The SIP NOTIFY message includes at least a portion of the information included in the first SIP message sent between the user equipment and the network component. Another embodiment provides a method for a network node that includes determining whether a filter criterion includes one or more indicators indicating that information is needed, and including the information specified by the one or more indicators in a second SIP message.
