Abstract  Abstract

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for transmitting reference signals in multi-antenna system are provided to improve system performance by selective channel estimation for strong frequency with multiplexing of reference signals in a multiple antenna system. CONSTITUTION: A terminal(900) comprises a reference signal generator(910), an OFDM symbol generating unit(920), and an RF unit(930). The reference signal generator creates a plurality of reference signal sequences to which respective cyclic shift value is allocated. The OFDM symbol generating unit is connected to the reference signal generator. The OFDM symbol generating unit creates OFDM symbols in which a plurality of reference signal sequences is mapped. The RF unit is connected to the OFDM symbol generating unit. The RF unit transmits the OFDM symbols to the base station through a plurality of antennae(990-1, .,990-N).
