Abstract  Abstract

PURPOSE: A method for setting a search area for a downlink control channel and an apparatus for the same are provided to efficiently set the search area for the downlink control channel. CONSTITUTION: A processor (1910) obtains an enhanced physical downlink control channel (EPDCCH) by monitoring EPDCCH candidates which are composed by enhanced control channel elements (ECCE) in at least one resource block set for the EPDCCH. The processor determines gaps between the EPDCCH candidates for a carrier wave which is in a specific aggregate level by dividing the total number of the ECCEs included in the resource block set with the number of the EPDCCH candidates which are in a corresponding aggregate level and the specific aggregate level in the resource block set.
