A system, method, apparatus and computer program product for performing dynamic bandwidth switching between control signals and data signals of different bandwidths are disclosed. Frame formats in which control signals are transmitted in a different bandwidth than the data signal are disclosed. A receiver architecture for receiving signaling formats is disclosed. The receiver can receive the relatively narrow bandwidth control signal while consuming a relatively low power and then dynamically adjust the characteristics of the various components to receive the data signal at a higher bandwidth while consuming relatively high power.
